失望? ... Disappointment ? Hope !

(English at the bottom)

Crepuscular rays disappeared after an hour.

Blue sky and white clouds after 2 hours!
What a great difference!

Disappointment and hope

Blue sky and white clouds are more popular than grey clouds in a dark sky.
But when crepuscular rays appeared among clouds,
they attracted people’s appreciation when they were seen unexpectedly.
The first two photos were spectacular crepuscular rays
in Victoria Harbour with HK Island in the background,
taken by a friend yesterday afternoon in Tsim Sha Tsui.

I also saw spectacular crepuscular rays
at my first sight this morning,
but they disappeared quickly.
However, crepuscular rays danced in the sky
within the next hour and some more photos were taken.
However, the blue sky with fluffy white clouds
appeared after 2 hours! (The last photo.)

Looking up at the rays in the sky is like our hope in God,
which coincides with the theme of
“Sometimes life’s disappointments are much more severe. The job we hoped for doesn’t materialize; friends we counted on let us down; the romantic relationship we longed for fails to work out. But into these heartbreaks, God’s Word speaks a refreshing truth about our hope in Him. The apostle Paul wrote, “Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame [or disappoint us], because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us (Romans 5:3–5).”

The crux is to have hope in God,
because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts.
Note the description ‘pour out’!
It's natural to feel disappointed with people
or what we’ve come across in life.
But having God’s love in our heart,
our hope will not disappoint us.
