The light shines in the darkness...

(English illustrations above each photo and at the bottom of this article.)

This was the first sight yesterday morning,
with clouds like long flour rolls spreading across the whole sky:

Flour rolls across the sky.
7:24 a.m.

After half an hour, who could imagine that the clouds had retreated like pulling a curtain or screen across the sky? Half of the sky was still covered in darkness with light trimming the edge of the clouds.

Silver lining sky screen. Stunning.

7:59 a.m.

The sun started to appear above the silver lining clouds.

8:00 a.m.

The white sun above the dark clouds hanging over silvery reflections on the water:

The sun soared above the clouds.

8:03 a.m.

The curtain of clouds continued to retreat southward toward the open sea.

8:17 a.m.

After an hour, the cloud band had moved south
and became a misty belt above the horizon.

9:18 a.m.

之後主角換成銀海出台;

Afterwards, the enlarging silvery sea became my focus of attention.
Depend on the angle of the sun rays and the position of the sun, the silvery area continued to spread out:

Silver lined bay.

9:59 a.m.

However, as the sun climbed up higher, the silvery area contracted and eventually disappeared. Why?
Silvery area contracted.

10:37 a.m.

Silvery sea disappeared.

11:14 a.m.

P.S.:
When I read the verse John 1:5 today, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." , I was reminded me of the strange scenes in the above photos: darkness overcome by light.

In the article 'Dethroning idols' today in 'Experiencing God day by day', it pointed out that, "Rather than worshiping statues, we choose possessions, pleasures, or careers as our gods and pour our time, finances, and energy into these things." How deeply had I experienced this and was eventually redirected by God!

The author stated that, "Rather, as we live out our Christianity, enjoying the abundant life God gives, our lives will discredit the idols around us.", just like the grey clouds could never block out the light; the light will eventually shine.
