可有體驗過伸手不見五指的黑暗嗎？
沒有光，我們甚麼都看不見，包括自己與四周。
光對我們有幾重要？
神的創造，第一日就是光：
『起初神創造天地，地是空虛混沌，淵面黑暗；神的靈運行在水面上。神說：”要有光。”就有了光。』(創世記一章1-3節)
光對我們人生有幾重要？
不止看得見的光，而是靈魂的光照？
聖誕將臨，讓我們再思考「光」。
主說：『我是世界的光；跟從我的，就不在黑暗裏走，必要得著生命的光』(約翰福音八章12節)
『我是世界的光』是甚麼意思？
衪來到世界，使我們不再活在黑暗中；衪光照，
使我們互相看清楚及看清楚自己內心真貌的美醜。
讓主光照，接觸內心陰暗一面。
衪能驅走黑暗，使我們不用再活於黑暗中。
請衪光照人生中陰暗的角落吧！
(以上是今天聽道重點：主耶穌來到世上，是世界的光，驅走世界的黑暗，光照人心暗處。)
甚麼是在我們內心陰暗的角落？
其中最大的是「自我」，
很多問題都源於自我，
例如對人、對事物的慾望與需求、
嫉妒、批判、驕傲、憤怒、埋怨…...
信仰上稱為罪，但很多人聽見便抗拒，
不想面對、承認、處理，又或者覺得自己處理不到。
是的，人的確沒有能力處理，所以唯有靠主才能幫助我們，
否則活在一種莫名的不安中，並最終因為自己本性中的罪，
而最終損害自己或他人利益，徒令自己受苦，
因此要面對現實、真理，鼓起勇氣向主求助，
扭轉我們已墮入的惡性循環…...

The light of the world drives away darkness
Have you experienced total darkness?
Without light, we cannot see anything,
including ourselves and each other.
How important is light?
God has created light on the first day:
“1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now
the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” (Genesis 1:1-3)
How importance is light to our life?
Not just physical light, but spiritual light that
shines upon us?
As Christmas is approaching, let’s rethink about
light.
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am
the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk
in darkness, but will have the light of life.””
(John 8:12)
What does “I am the light of the world” mean?
He has come to the world so that we won’t live in
darkness any more.
The light of Christ makes us see each other and our true self
well,
the beauty, as well as the things not good inside us.
Let the light of Christ shines upon you,
allowing dark places to be reached by Christ.
He helps us move out of darkness,
Not living in darkness any more.
Ask Him to show you the dark places in your life.

listened today,
Jesus is the light of the world,
driving out darkness in our world and darkness
within us.)
What's meant by the darkness in our heart?
One biggest problem is our self-centred character,
Many problems are caused by self-centredness,
e.g. our desires for ourselves and others, or materialistic things,
our jealousy, not satisfied with ourselves or other people, judgment,
pride, anger, blame, etc., which is called sin in faith.
But many people are reluctant to hear this word,
they don't want to face sin, confess sin, or deal with sin,
or they think they have no power to deal with it.
Yes, we don't have the ability to deal with it.
Therefore, only Jesus Christ could help us,
otherwise we would always live with an unsettled mind,
and we ultimately hurt our own interest or others' interest,
which would only make us suffer!
We should therefore face the reality and the Truth,
take courage to seek help from Christ, turn away from the undesirable road that we have been walking all along.
